What is self-shaping?

Self-shaping is the practice of modifying one's environment to influence future behaviors, habits, and actions.

What is this website?

We, as a planet, are co-creating the science of self-shaping. You are taking part. Your life contains the data (the way you design your environment, the behaviors you want to adopt, etc.) and you are also a scientist (helping to interpret that data, make suggestions, build tools).

More details?

This is a Ph.D. dissertation at Stanford gone global and viral. Several stanford students and faculty are working on this project and we want to work with you - whoever you are - to incorporate your personal techniques and perspectives on the topic. We are also keenly interested in technological tools designed explicitly to help people shape themselves.
